ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. – Two houses were damaged overnight Monday morning after two separate fires in Cahokia Heights.
The first fire happened around 1:20 a.m. Monday morning on St. Cecilia Drive in Cahokia Heights. According to officials, the fire brought damage to the back of the house. The house was vacant at the time of the fire but it is unknown if anyone lived there.
The second fire took place an hour later on Blue Water Lane near Camp Jackson Road, just about two and a half miles away from the first fire. There is no word if anyone was left injured in the fire.
The causes of both fires are under investigation.
