ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Webster Groves woman was arrested last week for allegedly attacking a Dunkin’ Donuts worker over cold food.
According to Rock Hill Police Department’s probable cause statement, the attack occurred on Friday, Feb. 21, at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Manchester Road.
Police said Eboni Gaither ordered food but complained that it came out cold.
Gaither argued with the Dunkin’ Donuts worker. Gaither’s money was refunded, but police said she was still not content.
Gaither allegedly took a ceramic tip container from the store’s counter and threw it, causing it to break, police said. The suspect also threw food at the worker.
The Dunkin’ Donuts employee followed Gaither outside and began recording the incident with her phone. The worker also attempted to photograph Gaither’s license plate.
Police said Gaither took out a pistol and pointed it at the Dunkin’ Donuts worker.
The worker told Gaither that they would get police involved. Gaither allegedly got out of her car and attempted to punch the worker in her face.
According to the probable cause statement, the interaction was recorded on the victim’s phone, as well as the business’ surveillance camera.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Gaither with unlawful use of a weapon, fourth-degree assault, and second-degree property damage.
Gaither was arrested on Feb. 23. She remains in custody with a $50,000 cash-only bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
