ST. LOUIS – Japanese discount retailer Daiso is set to open a pair of new stores in Brentwood and Chesterfield this summer.

Daiso, known for its treasure-hunt shopping experience, will introduce two new stores this summer in the Chesterfield Commons and the Brentwood Pointe plazas.

Daiso was originally founded in Japan in 1977 and expanded to the United States in 2005. The discount store offers a variety of affordable products across multiple categories, including Japanese-inspired home decor, kitchenware, snacks, and more.

The two new St. Louis-based stores will accompany the retail chain’s Wentzville Crossings location, which opened in January. The opening of the Wentzville store, located at 1905 Wentzville Parkway, served as the retail chain’s first store in Missouri.

The opening dates for the Brentwood and Chesterfield locations are unknown.
