ST. LOUIS – Four candidates will now become two, as the contentious race for St. Louis Mayor enters its runoff phase.
In Tuesday’s citywide Primary Municipal Election, Democrat Cara Spencer and incumbent Democrat Tishaura Jones finished first and second, respectively, to advance to the April 8 runoff.
The primary election employed a nonpartisan approval voting format, allowing voters to cast ballots for as many candidates as they liked.
Next week, FOX 2 News will host a debate between Spencer and Jones. You can watch Debate Night in St. Louis—The Race for Mayor” on FOX 2 and KPLR 11 on Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. You can submit a question for the candidates by clicking here.
