ST. LOUIS – It’s that time of year again to bring out everything green for St. Patrick’s Day.
As actual St. Patrick’s Day falls during the week this year, some events opt to be held the weekend before, while others are staying put and making the most of the Monday.
St. Patrick’s Day Run and Parade—March 15
The 47th annual St. Patrick’s Day Run in downtown St. Louis welcomes over 5,000 runners in the morning for a 3K or 5-mile run, while continuously raising money for local charities.
Following the races, over a quarter of a million spectators will line the streets from Eighth and Market streets to 22nd and Market streets for the 56th annual parade.
St. Patrick’s Day Kegs and Eggs—March 15
For those who aren’t a runner or parade-celebrating person, FanDuel Sports Network Live at Ballpark Village is hosting their own party with bottomless green beer, mimosas, and a brunch buffet.
Tickets are required for entry.
St. Pat’s in the Park—March 15
For a second year, the St. Louis Barkeep team is bringing the fun to Tower Grove Park for live music, local vendors, bites to eat and fresh drinks, all for free admission.
St. Patrick’s Day Brunch at Das Bevo—March 16
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Das Bevo is welcoming guests for a Irish brunch with Guinness, Jameson, food specials, and more.
“If it’s Sunday, then we’re brunching!” their website said.
St. Patrick’s Day in Dogtown—March 17
Perhaps one of the bigger events in the area is the parade in the Dogtown neighborhood with special guests, the Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade. There are designated zones for every attendee—a family zone, party zone, and Irish culture zone.
According to the website, the parade “coordinates an Irish Festival to highlight the unique spirit and vibrant history of the Dogtown neighborhood.”
St. Louis Official St. Patrick’s Day Bar Crawl—March 17
For those who still want to celebrate actual St. Patrick’s Day after work, this bar crawl is from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning in The Grove.
Attendees can expect free entry at all bars, select drink and food specials, and more.
