ST. LOUIS – A recent report ranked St. Louis as one of the worst migraine cities in the United States.
Migraines are intense headaches that can cause severe, throbbing pain on one side of the head. In a study released by Migraine Again, the organization released a list of the best and worst cities to live in when it comes to migraines.
The list was conducted by Bert Sperling, founder of Sterling’s Best Places to Live, and ranked the cities based on several factors, including a person’s lifestyle, prescriptions, the environment, and common foods that may trigger the migraines.
According to Migraine Again, St. Louis is among the cities that cause the most migraine attacks due to lifestyle and environmental factors. On the list, St. Louis is ranked the fifth worst city to live in that triggers migraines. Migraine Again listed these cities as the worst places to live with migraines:
- Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN
- Madison, WI
- Little Rock-North Little Rock, AR
- Knoxville, TN
- St. Louis, MO-IL
- Nashville, TN
- Johnson City-Kingsport-Bristol, TN-VA
- Chattanooga, TN-GA
- Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC
- Canton-Massillon, OH

- Boston-Worcester-Lawrence, CT
