ST. LOUIS – Detectives with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department say a man was carjacked Saturday evening at a north city gas station.
According to an SLMPD spokesperson, the robbery occurred just before 10 p.m. at the BP gas station in the 4700 block of Bircher Boulevard, in the city’s Penrose neighborhood.
Responding officers met with the victim, a 41-year-old man, who said his Dodge Charger had been stolen at gunpoint.
Police learned the victim had just completed a purchase inside the gas station and was walking back to his vehicle when an armed man in dark clothing ran up and announced a robbery.
The suspect demanded the victim’s keys and drove off in the Charger, police said. The victim was unharmed.
