ST. LOUIS – Severe thunderstorms are approaching the St. Louis region.

A tornado watch is in effect for many counties east of St. Louis until 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis issued flood advisories until 5 p.m. for Franklin, St. Charles, St. Louis, and Warren counties.

Sunday’s Cardinals-Twins game experienced a rain delay for lightning in the 4th inning with the Cardinals up 8-2. City SC also had a weather delay in the 68th minute of their match against Austin, sending fans at Energizer Park scrambled for cover.
