ST. LOUIS – Tuesday is expected to be sunny, breezy, and cool. Sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph are expected throughout the day, with gusts reaching as high as 30 mph likely. Such winds will lead to elevated fire danger, especially in areas to the northwest that didn’t see as much rain early in the month.
High temperature Tuesday will be in the low 60s. The wind will die back Tuesday evening and night. The overnight weather will be clear and cool, with wake-up temperatures in the 40s on Wednesday. Wednesday will begin with sunshine, followed by an increase in clouds, resulting in highs in the upper 60s.
An unsettled and wet period is shaping up for late in the week and, unfortunately, for Easter weekend. Rain and thunderstorms will begin Thursday morning along a warm front. It will be drier in the afternoon, with temperature highs in the 70s.
There is only a slight chance of a shower or storm during the night and into Friday. The weather is expected to be warm on Friday, followed by the arrival of a cold front in the afternoon, which will increase the likelihood of rain once again. Rain and thunderstorms, some strong to severe, will arrive Friday evening and night.
Unfortunately, the cold front stalls to our south into Saturday and that will keep on-and-off-again rain chances with us through the upcoming Easter weekend.
