ST. LOUIS – St. Louis City Soccer Club announced today that it’s partnering with MERS Goodwill, supporting the nonprofit’s initiatives.
This collaboration aims to empower Missourians to succeed through many of MERS Goodwill’s programs, such as career counseling, skill trainings and employment services.
Through this partnership, St. Louis City SC wants to build a stronger, yet connected, community.
“This partnership goes beyond soccer and thrifting—it’s about building a stronger, more connected community,” said Mark Arens, MERS Goodwill CEO. “Just as CITY SC inspires unity and pride on the field, MERS Goodwill is dedicated to empowering individuals through education, employment, and the transformative power of work.”
St. Louis City SC and MERS Goodwill will have a pre-match donation drive for the team’s match against the LA Galaxy on June 14.
Locals can participate in this drive by donating clothing, shoes and other essential household items.
“While some might think of Goodwill as a thrift store, the reality is the organization has been around for over 100 years serving people in our community who need assistance in preparing for their professional careers and finding employment,” said St. Louis CITY SC CEO Carolyn Kindle. “We hope this partnership brings attention to the wonderful programs MERS Goodwill provides to our community and drive donations at their regional stores, at our matchday activations and beyond.”
