ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis County Family Court judge denied a former city sheriff’s deputy’s request for an order of protection against St. Louis Sheriff Alfred Montgomery.

Earlier this month, former deputy Darryl Wilson Jr. filed a restraining order against his former boss, alleging Sheriff Montgomery showed up at Wilson’s new job at St. Louis County Circuit Court, where Wilson works as a bailiff.

Wilson said Montgomery came in person to tell Wilson’s new boss that he suspected Wilson was trying to steal city workers and get them to move to the county.

FOX 2 News obtained a security video from inside the county courthouse showing Montgomery with his security team making their way up to the fifth floor to speak with Wilson’s boss.

Wilson believes Montgomery has had it out for him because the former deputy supported former Sheriff Vernon Betts in the race against Montgomery.

Wilson had been granted a temporary restraining order against Sheriff Montgomery until a county judge could make a decision on a long-term ex parte order of protection.

Had the judge ruled against Montgomery, the St. Louis Sheriff could have lost his right to carry a firearm.
