ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The St. Louis County Greek Fest has returned to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Des Peres Road, offering a weekend full of cultural festivities.
The festival features live music, folk dancing, church tours, a vendors market, and authentic Greek food. It runs until 8 p.m. tonight, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, which is Memorial Day.
Admission to the festival is free, making it accessible to everyone interested in experiencing Greek culture.
“We have lamb shanks, we have spanakopita and we have tomatoes,” Greg Simos, the chairman of Greek Fest,N said. “We have Slovenia. We have all of our traditional favorites, plus we have our desserts so we have baklava and Kaifi garlic Buco, so we have everything.”
Attendees should be prepared to use debit or credit cards for food purchases, as cash and checks are not accepted.
