ST. LOUIS – One man is dead and another man was left critically injured early Tuesday morning after a crash led to an overnight shooting in north St. Louis.
The incident took place shortly after 3 a.m. on the 6100 block of Lillian Avenue in north St. Louis’ Walnut Park West neighborhood.
Authorities initially responded to the scene after reports of a vehicle crash in the area. When officers and EMS arrived at the scene, authorities found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, along with a vehicle in the grass and debris in the roadway.
At the scene, authorities pronounced one of the shot men dead. Authorities transported the other victim, suffering from critical injuries, to a nearby hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. It is unknown if authorities have identified any suspects in the shooting.
