Vacant East St. Louis house burns down in overnight fire

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. – A fire destroyed a house in East St. Louis overnight Tuesday morning.

The fire took place around 2:30 a.m. on the 800 block of Pershing Street. Neighbors in the area say the house was vacant at the time of the fire.

Firefighters have not determined the cause of the fire.
