JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – On Monday, Herculaneum High School confirmed an 11th-grader at the school was killed over the weekend in a crash in rural Jefferson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the crash happened around 1:10 a.m. Saturday in the 4200 block of Sunrise School Road.

Two teenagers were in a 2000 Ford Ranger when the truck went off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

The driver, identified as Madalyn Robinson, was thrown from the vehicle. Robison was pronounced dead at the scene just before 1:35 a.m. She was 16.

The 15-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.

The crash report said neither teen was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
