CRAWFORD COUNTY, Mo. — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an inmate who escaped jail on Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s office, Matthew Chandler was last seen on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. running through a field off Kehner Road in Steelville, Missouri.
Chandler is 5-foot-7 inches and was last seen wearing a camo hoodie, blue jeans, brown boots, and handcuffs.
The sheriff’s office said Chandler is unarmed and fled from officers on outstanding warrants after he was arrested at residence off of Highway TT.
