ST. ANN, Mo. — A St. Louis County man was arrested for carjacking on Friday. Ronnie Green, 28, is accused of punching a man who had earlier helped him and his mother, then stealing the victim’s 2015 Chevrolet Equinox.

According to police reports, the incident began when the victim was asked by Green to pick his mother up because she was out in the cold. He brought them back to his house and let them use his shower to clean up. Green then asked to spend the night at the home and use his wifi. The victim said no to the request.

After bringing Green and his mother to a McDonald’s on St. Charles Rock Road, the victim became upset and tried to leave. Green allegedly responded by punching the victim in the jaw, knocking him to the ground.

Green then jumped into the victim’s running vehicle and drove away. Police found the stolen car about two hours later. He was arrested at the intersection of Lynntowne Drive and Muriel Avenue.

Green is also currently facing a separate pending charge of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 in St. Louis County Circuit Court. He faces a felony charge of vehicle hijacking and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
