JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri’s State Capitol will shine red and gold this weekend to support the Kansas City Chiefs as they compete in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday.

Governor Mike Kehoe announced Friday that the Capitol Dome will be illuminated from sunset to sunrise through February 9, celebrating the team’s third consecutive Super Bowl appearance. In a playful interstate wager with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Kehoe has bet Missouri-grown beef and local condiments against Philly cheesesteaks.

Kehoe predicts a 31-17 victory for the Chiefs and is encouraging state residents to show their team spirit. The light display symbolizes Missouri’s pride in the championship football team.

The Super Bowl will take place Sunday night, with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles in a highly anticipated matchup. You can watch it on FOX 2.
