HILLSDALE, Mo. — Dorothy Moore, Village of Hillsdale mayor and Chair of the Board of Trustees, withdrew her candidacy for re-election last week.
According to the petition filed on Friday, Moore and Rosalyn Ross’s names will be removed from the April 8 ballot for the Village of Hillsdale. Moore has long served the municipality, running unopposed in many elections, according to our partners at the Post-Dispatch.
In 2023, a Hillsdale employee was charged after a FOX 2 photojournalist was run over while Moore sat in the passenger seat.
The incident happened in August 2023 when FOX Files investigators were looking into the village’s threat to tow multiple cars for code violations.
