Belleville Humane Society holding Sweethearts for Shelter Pets event

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Community members can make a shelter pet their sweetheart for Valentine’s Day on Friday.

Personalized valentines to the animals at the Belleville Area Humane Society can be sent for $5 for a cat and $10 for a dog.

Additionally, for every $100, every cat in the shelter will receive a valentine, and every $200 will give a valentine to every dog.
