ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police and the city’s Force Investigation Unit are at the scene of a shooting near Calvary Cemetery after a woman shot herself after being shot at by police officers.
The incident took place near the intersection of West Florissant and Arlington avenues in the city’s Mark Twain neighborhood.
Police claim officers from District 6 responded to the area late Wednesday morning. It’s unclear what led to officers opening fire.
Police claim the woman shot herself in response. Police have not stated whether the officers’ gunfire hit the woman.
