MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. – Two individuals reported discovering a body in a vacant building in the 400 block of Booneslick Road in New Florence, Missouri.

According to New Florence Police, they were dispatched to the area just before 8 p.m. on June 4. Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were also alerted to the discovery.

Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered the deceased individual in the bay area of the vacant building.

Officials say a warrant was obtained to search the scene, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) is now investigating the death.

FOX 2 has yet to learn about the identity of the deceased, as an investigation is currently underway.

Officials, however, are calling for the public’s assistance in relation to the death.
