ST. LOUIS – On Wednesday, a bond reduction hearing took place for one of the suspects charged in the death of Colin Brown.

Diamond Baucom, 27, faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, first-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action. Diamond was recently arrested back in March, making her the third person charged for Brown’s murder back in 2024.

Lawyers representing Diamond asked for the judge to reduce her bond. At the time of the deadly incident, investigators said that Baucom’s vehicle was used in the shooting.

Brown, 16, was riding with his father on Interstate 55 near Loughborough when he was hit by a stray bullet on Nov. 23, 2024. He passed away from his injuries a few days later on Nov. 27.

Diamond’s brother, Donovan, was indicted in January for the same charges in relation to the incident.
