ST. LOUIS – Clouds cleared earlier than anticipated on Tuesday, allowing us to warm up a bit more than expected. We have a repeat forecast for Wednesday.

We’ll have scattered rain showers around through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Early morning clouds will then give way to clearing skies, allowing our temperatures to climb to highs in the mid- to upper 70s.

Clouds return overnight; we’ll wake up Thursday in the 50s. Light rain returns to the area Thursday, which will keep our top temperatures in the lower 70s.

Clearing skies into Friday will allow the start of a warm-up, with high temperatures in the mid-70s on Friday and then jumping into the mid-80s for Saturday and Sunday.

We’ll be in the upper 80s early next week, close to the 90 F mark, which we have not yet officially hit this calendar year. The average first 90 F day is May 15, so we are well beyond that temperature mark.
