ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – About $1 million will go to the Creve Coeur Soccer Complex, which sustained significant damage following the tornadoes that impacted Missouri in March.

On Thursday, the Explore St. Louis Board voted to give $1 million to restore the complex. In a previous report, St. Louis County predicted the repairs for the complex would range from $9 to $10 million.

“We greatly appreciate the Commission’s support of the Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex, which welcomed 1.1 million visitors last year,” said County Executive Sam Page. “The complex attracts players from across the U.S. and revenue exceeded $1.8 million in 2024.”

With the funding, the St. Louis County Parks and Recreation Department looks to replace the lighting for nine soccer fields.

Other restoration plans include replacing 13 synthetic turf fields, 3,500 feet of fencing and the administration trailer.

Because of the weather’s impact on the complex, various games and practices were postponed. The Park Department said it hopes to have activities resume in June.
