JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – A fire destroyed a house in High Ridge Tuesday morning.

The fire took place around 5 a.m. on Oakmont Court. Firefighters believe some electrical equipment started the fire on the first floor, and the flames spread all the way to the roof.


O’Fallon police investigate shooting, suicide

Authorities say two adults and their pet lived in the house, and they were all able to make it out safely.

This was the second fire for High Ridge firefighters Tuesday morning. The first fire happened shortly before and was a smaller fire caused by a water heater.
