ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Ferguson man is in custody for allegedly forcing a minor to engage in prostitution.

According to the Ferguson Police Department’s probable cause statement, officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Mueller Avenue on April 20 for a reported disturbance.

Officers spoke with the victim, who said she met Adam Q. Moore the week prior. Moore offered her a place to stay in exchange for her having sex with others.

The victim told police she had sex with multiple people between April 14 and April 20, and that Moore would receive money from those individuals.

Police said Moore took the victim to a strip club in Illinois at one point and refused to let her leave his home when she asked.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Moore with third-degree promoting prostitution, second-degree sexual trafficking of a child, fourth-degree assault, and two counts of third-degree kidnapping. Moore remains jailed on a $250,000 cash-only bond. Online court records do not show a future court date.
