ST. LOUIS — Girls on the Run is returning to downtown St. Louis for their annual 5K run, set to take place on May 10th at Ballpark Village.
The non-profit organization has been active in the St. Louis metro area for over 20 years, serving 5,000 girls across the bi-state region. Their program aims to build confidence and promote health among young women through a curriculum that culminates in the 5K race.
“The program runs for eight weeks. They have small groups twice a week,” said Courtney Berg, Executive Director of Girls on the Run. “Incredible, and that is open to any kid in third through eighth grade, and then our 5K is open for the community to dance with the girls. We always welcome volunteers.”
The President of Ballpark Village, Mike La Martina, expressed pride in supporting the event, highlighting the venue’s commitment to philanthropy and community engagement. With the race open to everyone, Girls on the Run invites the community to join in celebrating the achievements of young girls and to support their journey towards confidence and health.
