ST. LOUIS – We have some areas of drizzle and light rain out there, and some flurries may mix in this Thursday morning.

Winds will remain gusty Thursday, especially through the morning hours, easing up a bit by the afternoon. Temperatures will be much colder, maxing out near 50 F, and cloudy skies should give way to sunshine later in the morning. Temperatures will dip to near freezing overnight Friday morning.

For Friday, clouds increase, winds ramp up again, and temperatures will climb into the mid-60s. The choice day of the weekend will be Saturday with widespread beneficial rain Saturday night into Sunday.

Elevated fire danger will be present Thursday across southeast Missouri and will increase area-wide again for Friday.
