ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A homicide investigation is underway Tuesday afternoon in north St. Louis County, police sources tell FOX 2 News.
North County Cooperative officers responded to a scene near Chambers Road and West Florissant Avenue in the City of Dellwood. Officers responded around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said an “incident” is under investigation. It’s unclear what exactly occurred at this time.
Photos and video from FOX 2 photojournalist show what appears to be a crashed car and nearly two dozen evidence markers indicating possible bullet casings at the scene.
Police confirmed to FOX 2 that the person in the maroon colored vehicle was dead, but offered no additional information. Investigators have established a perimeter at the intersection for the time being.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.
