ST. LOUIS — It’s the final week of heart month, and Tammy Mitchell shares her story about surviving a stroke and how it strengthened her faith in God.

Mitchell was not feeling well one day, and it wasn’t until a friend convinced her to go to the emergency room that she discovered she was having a stroke after undergoing tests.

Mitchell still experiences difficulty driving at night, sensitivity to light, and trouble remembering things, but throughout her journey, Mitchell says it was God that brought her through it all.
