JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is nourishing adolescents this summer.

The Summer Food Service Program seeks to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for minors who may not have direct access to food.

The department has an interactive map, which provides families insights into where they can take their children to get free meals this summer. Meals can be found at schools, churches, parks and other community centers throughout Missouri.

Adolescents aren’t required to register in the program, and there are no fees. Those who are aged 18 to 21 and have disabilities—determined by the state or local educational agency—can also receive free meals.

More information about the summer food program can be found here. Families can also discover the sites offering free meals by texting “Summer Meals” to 914-342-7744.
