IRON COUNTY, Mo. – An Ironton man was left dead Monday afternoon after a fatal three-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 72.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the crash took place a little after 3:50 p.m. on Missouri Route 72, east of Arcadia. The crash involved a Ram truck, a GMC truck, and a Ford F-150.
The crash happened after the GMC crossed the center lane of the interstate, causing the vehicle to sideswipe the Ford F-150 before striking the Ram truck head-on, MSHP said.
According to MSHP, the driver of the GMC truck, a 64-year-old man from Ironton, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries involved in the crash.
All drivers involved were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, MSHP, said.
