ST. LOUIS – A man has died after being hit by a car in north St. Louis Friday afternoon.
Police say it happened around 2 p.m. Friday at West Florissant and Kingshighway.
Investigators say 64-year-old Alexander Larken had just stepped off a Bi-State bus when he tried to cross the street between the bus and another vehicle when a driver in the lane struck him.
Police say the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the accident reconstruction investigators.
Larken was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. No charges have been filed at this time.
