ST. LOUIS — St. Louis City homicide detectives are investigating after a murder in south St. Louis Sunday evening.
The shooting took place around 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Winnebago Street in south St. Louis’ Gravois Park neighborhood.
At the scene, police say they found a man had been shot. The man later succumbed to his injuries. At this point, police have not released the age of the victim or his name.
There is also no word from police just yet on any potential suspects in this latest murder in the city of St. Louis. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation into what happened in this case.
City homicide figures reveal this is at least the 15th murder so far this year in the city of St. Louis, which is down significantly from this point last year when there were some 30 murders in the city.
