ST. LOUIS – St. Louis police are looking for a man who stole a bag of marijuana and a handgun from his godfather over the weekend.

According to a spokesman for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the theft took place on around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, in the 4100 block of Connecticut Street, in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.

Police spoke with the 66-year-old victim, who told them he invited his 26-year-old godson to his home so they could smoke marijuana.

At some point during the visit, the man said his godson snatched the bag of marijuana from him. Police said the older man retrieved a firearm, but his godson ripped the gun away from the 66-year-old and pointed the weapon at his head.

The 26-year-old then fled the home.
