LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. – A New London man was left injured Monday afternoon after a crash between two tractors on U.S. Route 61.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash took place on southbound U.S. 61, south of Missouri Route Z, involving a mack tractor and a case tractor.

The crash occurred while both the Case tractor and the Mack tractor were traveling southbound in the second lane of U.S. 61. As both tractors were traveling in the same direction, the cast tractor was straddling both the shoulder and the second lane of the roadway.

At some point, the front of the Mack tractor struck the rear end of the Case tractor, causing both vehicles to overturn and ejecting the Case tractor’s driver, according to MSHP. The driver of the Case tractor, a 62-year-old man from New London, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, suffering from serious injuries.
