ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – An overnight hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle left a man injured Thursday morning in Breckenridge Hills.
The crash took place around 12:20 a.m. on St. Charles Rock Road, east of Wismer Road, involving a fully custom motorcycle and an unknown vehicle.
The crash happened while both vehicles were traveling westbound on St. Charles Rock Road in separate lanes. According to MSHP, the unknown vehicle switched lanes and pulled in front of the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to strike the rear end of the unknown vehicle and ejecting him from the bike.
The driver in the unknown vehicle did not stop after the crash and left the scene, according to MSHP. After the crash, the motorcyclist, a 45-year-old man from St. Ann, was transported to a nearby hospital suffering from serious injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
