JENNINGS, Mo. – A homicide investigation is underway after one man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon in Jennings.

The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 8700 block of Jennings Station Road.

The St. Louis County Police Department reports that one man was found suffering from life-threatening gunshot injuries. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police have not yet disclosed any information on potential suspects or motives. The victim’s identity is also being withheld pending family notification.

As police work have worked to clear the scene, traffic along Jennings Station Road has been closed for some time Saturday between McLaren Avenue and Hildred Avenue. There may still be some traffic closures or delays into early Saturday evening.
