ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are now investigating a case they have classified as a homicide after a man’s death last week.
According to police, EMS were called to the 3200 block of Knapp St. in the Hyde Park neighborhood around 6 p.m. on May 25.
Upon arrival, they located 41-year-old Joseph Brown with an “apparent injury.”
Brown was transported to the hospital, where he died six days later.
Doctors informed police Tuesday that his death was caused by blunt force trauma to his head, which has prompted SLMPD to declare Brown’s death as a homicide.
An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call SLMPD’s homicide division at 314-444-5371 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous or potentially receive a reward.
