MISSOURI – Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe took a trip to the Golden Arches, not just for food, but for hiring opportunities nationwide.
The company McDonald’s announced that 375,000 jobs will be open across the country.
Ten thousand of those careers will be in the state of Missouri. Outside of job opportunities, individuals can be eligible for educational assistance.
“Workforce development efforts like this are near and dear to my heart and I appreciate McDonald’s for being a leader in these efforts for 10 years,” Kehoe said. “This is what it takes to make Missouri who Missouri is: getting young people that start, so that they understand what their life is going to be about.”
The “McDonald’s Archways” program has helped over 90,000 individuals earn their high school diplomas, learn English as a second language and pursue career training initiatives.
McDonald’s and owner-operators in Missouri awarded $6.5 million in high school and college tuitions.
