A key section of the Illinois line of the MetroLink is shut down in the metro east.
Officials with Bi-State Development say MetroLink trains are out of service between the Belleville Swansea, Memorial, and Fairview Heights stations because of overhead wire damage.
Shuttle buses are taking passengers through that stretch but you can expect some major delays.
People are being told to allow at least 40 extra minutes to make it to where you need to be on time.
There’s no ETA yet for when full service will be restored.
