ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo.  – St. Charles City-County Library, the Middendorf-Kredell Branch, reopened today, following a 10-month renovation project.

The renovation project was around $2.9 million, with improvements also being made to the library’s parking lot, carpeting, rood and HVAC.

Visitors can also look forward to seeing new children’s area entrances, rooms and larger bathrooms.

Known as one of the “busiest” branches, the Middendorf-Kredell Branch sees around 225,000 visitors annually, and over 950,000 books circulate across the library.

“The reopening of the Middendorf-Kredell Branch marks an exciting new chapter for our library and the O’Fallon community,” said Library CEO John Greifzu. “This renovation not only enhances the comfort and functionality of the space but also reflects our continued commitment to providing welcoming environments where people can connect, learn and grow. We’re grateful to the staff and partners who helped bring this vision to life.”
