MISSOURI – With the general election just around the corner on Tuesday, November 5, Missourians are encouraged to submit voter registration before the deadline in order to vote.
Wednesday, October 9, marks the final day Missourians can register to vote, and there are a few ways residents can submit their registration or check their voter registration status and update information.
Online
To submit a voter registration form online, visit the secretary of state’s website. The online form will ask a series of questions regarding political party affiliation and voter identification.
Mail-In Registration
Missouri residents have the option of submitting a form through mail after printing off a form online and mailing it to a local election authority. According to the secretary of state’s office, a mail-in registration form must be postmarked by Oct. 8 to be accepted.

In-Person Registration
Missouri residents may also visit a county clerk’s office, Department of Motor Vehicles office or any state agency in-person to fill out a voter registration form. To find a local county clerk’s office, visit the Secretary’s of State’s website.
Check voter registration status
If you are unsure whether you’re already registered, the Secretary of State’s website provides a form online to check voter status.
After providing information such as your legal first and last name, social security number, and the county you registered under, the website will then inform you if you’ve registered or not. To check voter registration, click here.

If you have already registered to vote but need to update your voter information, the Missouri Secretary of State also provides a form to update your name, address and political party affiliation online.
