ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Interstate 55 between Virginia and River Des Peres Boulevard in south St. Louis should be prepared for lane shifts starting next week.
MoDOT plans to shift all interstate traffic from the southbound lanes to the northbound lanes, starting next Thursday after morning rush hour.
About a week later, on Monday, June 2nd, there will be another shift so crews can begin rehabbing the last two bridges in this project: The southbound I-55 bridges over the Union Pacific Tracks and Koeln Avenue.
The bridge rehab project is expected to be complete late this year or early next year.
