ST. LOUIS – Our slow-moving cold front is lingering over southeast MO and southern IL. There are some pockets of mist/drizzle and some fog developing Thursday morning.

Scattered showers and a few storms will continue through the morning hours on Thursday, especially southeast of the metro, closer to the front. The rain shifts east and we’ll get a break from activity during the afternoon. High temperatures will hit the mid- to upper 70s.

Clouds should break up a bit Thursday afternoon, allowing for some sunshine to mix in. Showers begin to make their return early Friday morning as another wave of energy lifts into the region. These showers will become more numerous through the morning hours and we may hear a few rumbles of thunder come in the afternoon.

Highs on Friday will be in the upper 70s. Unfortunately, rain chances remain in the forecast through Saturday, with the pattern showing signs of calming down by Sunday.
