ST. LOUIS – A man is in critical condition after being shot by his nephew Sunday night in the Walnut Park West neighborhood.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s preliminary investigation, a 66-year-old man was at a family gathering in the 5600 block of Goodfellow Blvd. when he got into an argument with his niece while intoxicated.
During the argument, the man’s 18-year-old nephew fired shots, striking him in the abdomen.
Upon police’s arrival, the 18-year-old had fled the scene.
The man was transported to the hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition, police added. He was unable to provide a statement to law enforcement due to his injuries.
