ST. PETERS, Mo. – Prosecutors have filed new charges against the owner and manager of Affordable Kitchens and Baths, a St. Peters-based remodeling company accused in a long-running fraud case now involving at least 14 victims and hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Last month, the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally filed charges against Britney Callier, 55, and Lonnie Walker, 54, each for 10 felony counts of stealing ($750 or more).

On Tuesday, prosecutors added more charges. Callier and Walker now face four additional felonies each: Three for a Class D felony of stealing ($750 or more) and one for a Class C felony of stealing ($25,000 or more).

The charges stem from a lengthy investigation that determined that Walker and Callier accepted payments for renovation work that was never completed, according to St. Peters police.

In recent months, customers reported to police that phone calls to the company went unanswered. Some victims claim they paid as much as $29,000 to the company for a bathroom remodel, but no work was performed, and all communications with the business stopped soon after payment.

A further investigation from St. Peters police found that the business is no longer operational.

The new charges relate to four additional reported incidents between March 2022 and September 2024. In each case, a customer’s check was deposited through mobile banking and cleared. Investigators say that Affordable Kitchens and Baths did not start on work on three for three of the projects and delivered only partial materials for the fourth.

Court documents further allege that Callier and Walker continued signing contracts with new customers, despite knowing that previous projects still remained unfinished.

As of late April, St. Peters police had confirmed a total of at least 14 victims and $209,000 in total losses related to the alleged long-running scheme.
