MISSOURI – The National Weather Service has confirmed at least three tornadoes just south of the St. Louis metropolitan from Monday’s severe storms.

One tornado was an EF-1 that rolled through northern Iron County and southern Washington County in Missouri, traveling 2.7 miles.

Another tornado was an EF-1 that rolled through the southwest corner of St. Francois County in Missouri, traveling 4.2 miles.

The third tornado was an EF-1 that rolled through Randolph County in Illinois, traveling roughly half a mile.

According to the National Weather Service, an EF-1 tornado tracks peak speeds anywhere from 86 to 110 mph.

No injuries were reported from any of these tornadoes, but one farm building was destroyed and debris damage was notable in Randolph County, based on preliminary NWS reports.

The National Weather Service says it is also reviewing potential tornado tracks in northern Ste. Genevieve County, northeastern Washington County and Jefferson County from Monday’s storms.

Monday’s storms were briefly tornado-warned in St. Louis and Jefferson counties, though neither one has a tornado designation from the National Weather Service at this time and damage appears to be limited.
