KINLOCH, Mo. – Penske Logistics, a warehousing and distribution company based in St. Louis County, is expected to lay off hundreds of workers later this year following a major contract loss.
According to a WARN notice from the State of Missouri’s job website, Penske Logistics is planning to lay off 337 workers by July 15, 2025. This specific WARN notice attributes the layoffs to a “loss of contract.”
One of Penske’s largest partners in the St. Louis region is local grocery chain Schnucks. Penske supports the grocer with various logistics, transportation and supply chain operations.
According to FreightWaves.com, a supply chain industry news outlet, some St. Louis-area operations and jobs may transfer to BGDC Distribution, an Atlanta-based distribution provider.
Penske currently operates at 8500 Scudder Avenue in the City of Kinloch.
